First Hanukkah for baby

Sebastian celebrated the first few nights of Hanukkah in Oregon with The Poobah and Nana.  So far, he loves the candles and he is fascinated by dreidels.  He doesn't seem to care about the presents yet.  The first night Sebastian received a hat and the second night he received a Hanukkah bib.  He didn't really like the hat and he agreed to spit up on the bib.

Tomorrow begins our journey back to Massachusetts.  We are driving up to Portland tomorrow as our flight leaves on Sunday morning at 7am.  I am a little concerned about traveling with S this time around as he has gotten used to spending a lot of time moving and playing during the days.  When we flew out to Oregon, Sebastian was sleeping for about 20 hours each day so he had no problem sleeping on the plane.  I am concerned now that he might not want to be sitting for as long as he is going to have to sit on the plane.  This certainly will be a different flying experience.

Since we will be in transit over the next few days, this is going to be the last blog from Oregon.  Hopefully, more blogs will be coming from Oregon next year (ie, if Matt ends up at OHSU for residency!!).  We are heading back to a busy and exciting few months.  Matt has several interviews over the next few weeks, we are heading to St. Louis for Christmas, and then we will have to start thinking about ranking residency programs.  Hopefully, Sebastian will remain blissfully unaware of the chaos.

Happy Hanukkah!
